Sapphire Dragon Orchids (SDO) is dedicated to producing world class coerulea Phalaenopsis hybrids, and species.  We are leading the way with a deep understanding of the coerulea color form using advanced techniques for producing coerulea hybrids.  We have one of the largest and most diverse collections of coerulea Phalaenopsis in the world.

Our hybridizing goals are focused on better understanding the genetics of the coerulea color form while creating high quality coerulea Phalaenopsis hybrids, species and foundation stud plants. We maintain a collection of coerulea Phalaenopsis stud plants that is one of the most diverse in the world.

As a smaller boutique grower, we are able stay focused on these special hybrids and limited quantities of quality orchids.  Our crosses and stem props are produced in our own lab giving us the ability to maintain our own quality control from seed to final flowering.  Our operation is now located at Rolling Rock Ranch in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.
